Err... how about instead of soccer jersey the child wrote soccer shirt, will penalise?

Frankly speaking, I think may or may not, bc the contents & language play a big part on the whole compo's mark. The 'shirt' & 'jersey' is just a word used, which sound better. I reckon the PSLE marker will read the whole compo as a whole. Even if the child able to use 'jersey' but the whole compo had lots of grammar & spelling mistakes, I bet this child will score lower than another child who was able to write beautifullly but only did not write the word 'jersey'.

Another impt thing to note is Compo is a very subjective one. Anyway they will be 2 markers to read the child's compo. So we wouldn't know for sure if it will penalize more or less. At the end of the day, it still depends the 2 markers want to give more or less mark.

      So.....don't dwell too much.....

Adding on...be it jersey or tee shirt, my guess is the emphasis probably on how/why the gift is special. If not, the title would have been A Gift

hooray! 2 exams over. it's friday, have a nice dinner and rest early. all the best for next week's science and MT.

Yes!! Quite scary PSLE going to be over soon.... the children have spend months preparing for it.

actually the kids will find themselves feeling very free when their last exam is over....for months and months, they have been drilled and suddenly they are free as a bird. my son played for 2 solid weeks and after that, told me he felt very bored.

Suggest can plan to let them be free & engaged in learning a new skill or interest(s) - keyboard/piano, Coding, a language, archery, ToadtMasters, etc. But this has to be sth they wld want not forced into. Let them choose.

Keeping busy with sth they like will be good to transit Pri school life to sec, owise ‘culture shock’!
I can't pm papers. Can only email. Maybe I don't hv any gunghu ah? Pm me yr email address.

ShevW, didn't receive yr email to send also. Or did I make a mistake u requested earlier?

Hi Esteema, you are very kind. 🙂 I didn't request the papers since no answers just asking my child to revise and go thru all mistakes in the revision papers from the school that's all. We are winding down.

Great! You're the first parent I'll like to celebrate with. Cool mummy, you're your gal's best friend!

Lol well... I hope the day when result announced I really can celebrate with you :celebrate: For now I think I just my child to strengthen the concepts dun blank out on the day
