Not sure if this has been posted previously.

From 2017, PSLE Mother tongue languages (for both Standard and Foundation) will be in e-Exam format. (Passage reading also in e-format)

It may be useful to go through the http://www.seab.gov.sg/content/e-Oral%20Examination%20Guide%20for%20Candidate%20PSLE/story_html5.html with your child so he/she knows what to expect/do if the school has not already gone through with them.

I would need advice how do we teach our kids to do 理解问答for tomorrow’s paper… ? are they supposed to lift the answer from the passage ?


my girl tried using her own words for some questions but ended with wrong answers… she is told to lift the sentences or para for answers… i would think tackling the comprehension for both chinese and english are the same?

Most answers can be found in passage. Unless they ask u abt the character of someone but even so u can link to the passage when they ask for reasons.

Any advice how your DC will choose to attempt 命題 or 看图 for Paper 1?

IMO, 命题作文 can let you score high marks if your child is really proficient in the language, 造句 is flawless and know many of 好词好句， 成语， etc. Otherwise it is safer to stick to 看图作文 and not stray away from the theme.
