(b) From what I know, at least for the graduating batch this year, there were around 2-3 who transferred to O-levelHi,
a)
can the IP students here share how intensive & rigorous is the the IP curriculum, starting from Y1 upto Y4, leading up to Eunoia JC ?
(Y1 : Year 1)
b)
After EOY, at end of Sec 2 (Y2) :-
roughly, per batch : how many students from the IP track request for transfer back to O level track ?
vacancies are created : once an IP student managed to transfer successfully to O level track.
roughly, per batch : how many students from the O level track have been \"invited\" by school, to transfer to IP track ?
(EOY : End of Year SA2 exam)
(c) I believe around 10-15 students (perhaps more/less) were invited (not very sure about the actual no. ) However, as far as I know, there was most probably no one who wanted to transfer in the end -

For 2017 S4 batch this year, only 10 took full history as compared to around 50-75 students took full geography. IMO, more people would prefer geog as it is more applicable to our own lives, full history is known to be rather difficult as you would need to memorise 4 books as opposed to 2 books for elect-hist. Of course, full geog is not easy too. Honestly, both requires a lot of memory work and at the end of the day, it is up to a person's interest (which is usually geog)at Sec (3 & 4) here in St Nick Sec -
between History & Geography, these 2 subjects :
more students tend to or prefer to take History or Geog ?
which subject, is easier to study or handle ?
Thanks, for feedback.
Appreciated -

While I am an O-level student, I often hear from my friends in the IP track about their lessons.hearsay that St Nick (IP) Teachers don't teach much, because IP uses a different pedagogy.
Is this True ?
Can IP students (year 1 to year 4) shed light on how are you all taught in class, the method practised / adopted by the IP Teachers here, for subjects like Maths and Sciences ? Thank You
So firstly, their Eng lessons are often filled with more speech delivery then O-level classes (there are certain teachers who request for their students to do impromptu speeches regularly whether olevel or ip). Another thing is they have this thing called the Socratic circle which imo is rather complicated.
For the rest, I am aware that the IP exam papers and subj content are usually more advanced and harder than olevel students.
Of course, the teachers are mostly caring and are always willing to arrange consultations for weaker students (which is like free tuition) since students are usually more used to their teacher's teaching style since a teacher teaches them every day. -

SNGS is a dual-track IP school.

We also know that to prepare for GCE \"O\" level exam in Sec 4 : students need minimum two solid years' time-frame, to prepare for this major exam, starting from Sec 3 (January).
Do SNGS allow their IP students to switch over to the O level track at end of Sec 2 easily (readily), if an IP student / parent request for a Transfer ?
Or not really, since Sec 2 \"IP\" academic curriculum syllabus is so much different from the Sec 2 \"O level\" track syllabus ?
eg
a Sec 2 \"IP\" student would have already missed out a lot of Sec 2 \"O\" level syllabus' subjects (topics) that had been taught for the entire year, by the time the student reaches end of Sec 2, from beginning of Sec 1 since January. -

Is your daughter in O level or in IP track, CHIJ St Nicholas Secondary ?
Heard from sources from the ground that, they want more students to goto Eunoia Junior College in Year (5 and 6), so even if there are some Sec 2 IP students who did very well at year-end IP results and wish to seek Transfer to the O level track, they won't be let go nor released that easily, from the IP programme / curriculum.
Not because these Sec 2 students at year-end exam didn't do well and hence want to seek Transfer to the O level track quickly to prepare for O level in Sec 3 (January, begining of a brand, new year). In fact, on the contrary, is directly the opposite. Some students request to seek Transfer to O level track on their own initiative themselves after discuss with parents at home, keen to sit for GCE O level, because heard that they prefer to goto some other Junior College, instead. And, why these students prefer to go other JC ... is also another question mark ?
Have u heard any news similar, of such nature / kind ? -

That's true for the information that you'hv mentioned above.
They prefer to goto NYJC, seek to transfer to O level stream.
Even this year O level Sec 4 students, aiming for NYJC, not keen with EJC.
