I wish MS school website is more useful. I access the page as the platform to Studywiz and Admin Breeze. But it's becoming such an eyesore seeing the page. It's so outdated and doesn't provide info like school's year calendar and activities. Isn't it embarrassing that it's still showing 2008 announcements on the main page? Even DS's neighbourhood primary school's website is more impressive!

MITS has its own CCA website and it's pretty good! I really hope the school's front will be totally revamped soon, especially add photos of the teachers, the various CCAs, etc... These will help parents who want to see the teacher that their DS has been talking about and the type of team each CCA has.
Perhpas this can be brought up to the attention of the guy in charge of the IT dept.

I have to admit, I am on your side too Skyjuice.

          Hi Parents of 1C

DS just got his SA1 results. Even though he passed his Maths, I asked him why he did ok only. He said 60% of the class failed. I noticed since the start of 2nd term there was no homework and topical test at the end of every topic unlike other schools. How to improve when they were not given any exercises?

For Chemistry, I was surprised to know that a two boys got single digit score. Don’t know whether their parents are cool about it? But for me its a shock! Because the COP of MSHS is 225. With all the boys range from 225 - 248, how come the boys Chemistry result score can range from single digit to 70+%?

Found out from DS that all the boys were playing games during recess. Someone from the class feed them with buffet of games and movies. DS refuse to tell who. Wonder whether parents know about what the "fun" MacBook has given them. Think its MadBook for me. How to prevent copying games or movie into MacBook? Think alot of distraction from MacBook.

I agreed with you. My DS is also from 1C and he told me about the boys playing games in class too. I wonder are other classes boys doing that too? Maybe you should bring up this matter to the form teacher during PTM. I am not able to attend PTM on the 27/5.

Ds did mention about some boys caught playing games on macbk during chinese lesson. And that was why they didn’t use the mac for chinese for 2 weeks. Ds had to print out the lesson for use in class.

Have all the boys gotten their results back? It isnt updated on admin breeze yet.

I was appalled at the results DS came back with too. Although Form teacher proudly said the level's top student is from 1C, that wasn't consoling when majority didn't do well. During PTM, I was told to get my son to ask if don't know. I suggested he should also seek out those facing problems. I believe the regular quizzes or online hw should tell. I also hope more will be done for Math.

I feel the same abt the Macbook. My DS doesn't play the games while in school but he got distracted by those playing around him. And he said that's more than half the class and sometimes during lesson too! The incident in the MT class was so disrespective; no matter how boring the lesson may be.

Does any other class in Sec 1 that has to print out notes from Studywhiz, or is it only 1C that has to do it?

What is the point of e-learning via the Macbk? So there’s less paperwork, if not, might as well buy textbooks and workbook right? But nooo…the Math teacher and Chinese teacher insists on the boys printing out notes. Cant they study via the Mac since the notes are already there? What is the logic?
