Used to frequent the record shops there. Bibi&Baba was there too…selling kids’ clothings. Think there was a bicycle shop too!! Golf shops…bought a tennis racquet there. Americaya shoes.
Specialist clinics on the upper floors. -

yes, americaya shoes and also a corner with sanrio stuff inside yaohan.
PS now has lost much of its flavour even with the revamp and extension. -
Went past the place a few times when young but hardly gotten to step in, so am not familiar with all these shops you all mentioned.
Times were tougher then, parents were working all the time. As kids we were not allowed to wonder out nor had the money to go. Unlike my kids now, at Plaza Sing every week for music class. Had almost tried out all the eateries there.
Irony… -

I remember Bibi&Baba when it was in Specialists' Centre! I walked through Plaza Sing a lot during my sec school days, but didn't really shop or eat there.Used to frequent the record shops there. Specialists' Centre...any reason why it was named as such? Clinic hub too?
Only remember a dusty and boring JL. Only remember going there to browse thru mags....other than that, no reason to be there. -
specialist centre had JL anchor shop then…PS now is boring with individual shops…something I hate. I always go to Taka, or isetan…everything under one roof.

Yes, before Plaza Sing, SC was the place where private specialist clinics were located. There were other things on the ground floor before JL, but I can't recall them now. Foster's Steak House (now at Holland V) used to be in SC too.slmkhoo:
