      TLC2013:

      - For VS, is the boarding programmes compulsory, ie must stay in?

Thank you in advance for your info/advance
It wasn't compulsory for the sec/yr 3 last year. I believe there's no change this year or the following year.

Hello from a student in VS.

        PSLE are coming in tomorrow.

Should you have any questions about our school answered (IP workload, syllabus, CCA, student life), you can post it to
http://www.reddit.com/r/victoriaschool, there are some student subscribers there that'd be willing to answer your questions, especially if you want insider input to the school to factor in your considerations during the S1 phase.

(Because really, little to no students frequent this platform, more students use reddit, its all in one)

peace out and may the bell curve be with you[r son].

        :thankyou:

        --quick edit:
We can also handle non-school-specific questions

Any idea if VS is changing P soon?

Yup, new VS principal next year. No change for VJC

Hi all, thinking of selecting VS (O level) track as one of the choices for my DS. I missed the open house in May and would like to find out if there is any possibility to switch to IP track during/after sec 2?

            Thanks for any reply. πŸ˜„

              I attended in May.
I remember the head councillor sharing about how he switch from O to IP track, under recommendation of school.
He also said it was tough adjusting to the change.

The school strongly suggest students to go for the ip track if yr kid can make it. The avg Mark per subject must be at least 70 and above before they consider u for ip track

Yup it is definitely possible, but the switch requires good grades and cca record. VS O level track is equally as good, quite a number who didn’t make it to the VS IP got into VJC.

According to my nephew who was selected for IP in sec 2 a couple of years back, criteria is that min 70% is required for the core subjects, namely, Eng, Sci, Math and 1 humanities. The rest of the subjects such as HMT, MT, D&T, etc need not be at least 70%.

                        Hi all

DS scored 247. Wanted to know what 6 best options can we try.
                        So far first choice was
                        VS - O level
                        sji - o level.

An I right to assume he can’t apply for any IP.

Can anyone suggest any other good school?

                        Thanks
