If you compare with other schools of about the same COP, 91% qualify for JC meaning, L1R5 <= 20 points, is quite good already. That is one of the reasons we enrolled DD in the school. It shows something about the school's approach to teaching. The VP for academics is a very caring person. However DD resented the school for its strictness. And DD does not have discipline issues.

The school's niche is in Uniform groups. However their Show Choir group is top notch.
        Good morning limws1,

I did clarify with school’s personnel, 91% including admission to Millennia Institute. It’s about 50% eligible for JC.

Thanks TWU. Useful info. Yes I recall they lumped JC/MI together as one category when they reported 91+% of students qualify.

              Hi hi,

Read here that the school is very strict. Possible to advise how strict is the school or what are their rules considered strict.

Anyone know do they support N(A) students?

How is the principal designated? Mdm Betty Chang? Did she speak in the open house?

              Thank you for all help.

How strict is subjective. Some may find the school strict while others are ok with it. At secondary level, with the exception of International program schools, all schools are strict. Just look at the ACS mobile phone case. But too strict impede creativity and the will to speak up.

DD told me during the orientation, Sec 1 students are required to march. They can only eat when they are told to eat. Just like Basic Military Training.

                  hi limws1,

                  Thanks for your feedback>

How is the academic support? Are teachers willing to give extra coaching? Patience? Supportive type or Demanding type?

My personal experience with my DD teachers and academic VP give me a sense that they are supportive. The students must also take the initiative to approach the teachers for extra coaching if needed. Having said that, I have also seen a teacher getting angry with a parent and child during meet-the-teacher session.
