Temasek Junior College students who wish to take 4H2 subjects, must fulfil the following criteria:-


 L1R5 aggregate ≤ 9 (raw score, EXCLUDE bonus points), ie. below threshold 9 points

 For IP students: obtain at least an average of Bs and Cs, for IP4 final subject grades;

 Science-stream students must have offered 2 Science subjects + 2 Mathematics subjects, at the O-Levels / IP4.


Students who do not fulfil the above criteria will offer (3H2 subjects + 1H1 subject + GP + MTL + PW)

I am considering TJC as one of the option for my DS.

Can anyone share what happens if the student does not meet the standards as he progress in the IP program? Does the school has separate class for O level for those who could not meet the IP standards or they will be transferred to other schools?

No separate class for O level.

So far most students can cope with IP. For those who couldn’t, extra help will be provided by the school. Moreover those who come in would have certain academy abilities, so rarely one has to leave becos of unable to cope with the academic rigour.
Those who leave are likely those who couldn’t fit in or simply don’t like IP way of teaching.

In terms of school hours, it starts at 730am and ends about 3/4pm for most days with 2 days having CCA and one day will end early around 1pm. I understand at JC level, the class will start at 830am.

TJC across the house, or Cedar girls 50 minutes away?

Cedar was 254

Is it worth it to take cedar?

If Tscore is 264 why not opt for RGS,NJC,SNGS if willing to travel .Cedar is also good but if willing to travel RGS,NJC,SNGS cant beat.if dont want to travel TJC is best option as just across.
