Reference to the announcement that students are to report to the school on 22 Dec, 8.30am.
Are all students expected to report punctually? Are we expected to go through some kind of activities?

Two years ago, the reporting day for HCI was purely for admin purpose. There wasn’t any principal’s speech or whatsoever. However, HCI has a new principal and the practice may change.

Can we just walk into the school today to buy textbook/ uniform?
Usually how many PE attire? Also, what school shoes can they wear? -

Based on past years' experience, most students only have to register and purchase items. I don't recall a fixed ending time, once everything was bought we could just go off, although there were some people who also decided to look around the school.
My Son getting into HCI next year too. I was told that it will take approximately 1 hour for registration, buying of books and uniforms in the school book shop (popular). I already bought the school uniforms and secondary 1 books. Just to avoid the crowd on 22 Dec. The Aunty in the bookshop help in getting the right sizes etc. Bought 3 sets of uniforms and 3 sets of PE attire. They accept credit card, nets and cash. Total of secondary 1 textbooks and uniforms about $380.. hope that helps...books are really heavy though so do bring along help.[/quote] -
We also bought uniforms and books earlier. And one mother asked my son :? why we buy stuff before the Sec 1 Posting results are out :P.

Uniforms, textbooks, car decal. I think this should be all. Then tomorrow can take it easy for admin matters
I was quite surprised the boys will be doing Lord of the Rings as a literature text, and it's a really thick book to read :scared: -
