Paya Lebar Methodist Girl's School (Secondary)

tina:
I need valuable feedback on how good this school is especially in academics? Are the teachers passionate enough? What are the values the school will inculcate to a young growing girls? Please enlighten me and do let me know how do they band the girls in year 1, according to results or via CCA?
The school does really well in terms of academics, students are often seen staying back in school during exam periods to study and they do really well. The O level results of the school is also good, with many top scorers. In terms of teachers, they are very passionate and are always willing to lend a helping hand to students and stay back after school time to give students extra classes and remedials. The school actually has something called the HEART values which stands for Honour God,Excellence mindset,Adaptable,Respect, and Thankfulness respectively. These are the values that the school try to inculcate in its students. And lastly, the school bands its Sec 1 students mainly on their results but usually the 1st and 2nd class are of the same academic level -
How do affliated work ?
My DD got 232 for this year PSLE she select PLMGSS as 1st choice with affliated point.
Does she got the chance to go in?
Will the school select those with affliated point from 205 to 264 first then follow by those with non-affliated point.
Or those with non-affliated above 232 will get to go in first. -
Pa_pa I believe they go for affiliated students first…

my kid took the SPERS. PLMGS is one of the sch in the list which my girl is eligible. wonder is there anyone with such case accepted by the sch? aware that the strong affiliation for its Pri and the take up seats seems high too, even for non-affiliated the COP is 250.
really need your insight advice.
