Agree with jtoh. Not everyone wants to be a doctor or lawyer. Many of DS' peers score perfect UAS but they're not applying to Med & Law.rylee:
In fact for 87.5 won't make any different already as this 1.25 bonus point doesn't apply to medicine and law.
Not everyone who gets 90 wants to apply for medicine and law.
Just wondering.. Are applicants who score a B for H1 (UAS 88.75) ranked on par with those who score straight As (UAS 90), if both apply to the same course as their 1st choice ? -

And yes, my dd had friends with perfect UAS applying for Engineering and Yale-NUS. -

It depends on the popularity of the course? If we look at NUS indicative grade profile of 2017/18 applicants who are offered places:mum_sugoku:
So, for NUS applicant with perfect score of 90, does it mean that his score would be deemed as 91.25 for first-choice course?
I suppose so, but for 90, does it make a difference? And only for courses that don't have interviews, aptitude tests etc.

Besides Law and Medicine, a few other courses, eg Aeronautical Engineering, most courses under School of Computing, require AAA/A for even the lowest 10th percentile.. I've no idea what their cut-off UAS were.. but it's possible that majority of the applicants had perfect score? -

Three new undergraduate programmes, including a first in veterinary medicine in Singapore, and more double major courses will be offered in the upcoming academic year, said NUS senior deputy president and provost Ho Teck Hua in a media briefing on Monday (Feb 26). -
Can I know the indicative grade of AAA/A, does the H1 A grade means GP or any other H1 subjects like MT, PW etc?

It's for the 4 core subjects, the 4th core at H1 level. So not GP, PW and MT. -

Yes, I agree with u. But what I actually mean is if u have UAS 87.5 and above, u actually do not need the 1.25 bonus point as most courses UAS cutoff were below 87.5.rylee:

Thanks jtoh for the clarification. Does it mean those who are taking 4H2 will have their 4th H2 subject to be the H1 core? -
