      mummy of 2:
Just want to thank tamarind for recommending this book: 是谁嗯嗯在我的头上. My kids love it and I have read the book at least six times over three days. The story is indeed funny and my kids find it hilarious. It is also very educational in teaching kids about the different types of waste produced by the various animals, a topic which I think not many books attempt to cover 😄

      You are welcome !

I just received these books yesterday.

The series of 7 books all include pages with flaps for kids to open and close. The books are very cute and funny, especially one about going to toilet (very innocent lah).

Highly recommended for all kids ! I love reading them too 😉

I paid about SGD 21 for all 7 books including shipping, average only SGD 3 a book.

          jedamum,

u mean its available at the library? i realised different library their books varies. For eg a series of chinese storybooks by pelangi only available in a few selected libraries islandwide, i have to make a trip to those nearest to me.

Yes, strongly recommend this series of books! It's coming close to a year since I bought them and my DS still enjoys reading and lifting up the flaps!

not sure about the full set, but i saw a book or two of this series in Westmall and Lot1 library. the condition is not so good (some flaps are torn) though.

Just an update on ordering books from dangdang.

It is indeed much easier to use Amex to order. You don't need the original Amex, those by DBS or UOB can do the job nicely.

And for people who are interested to join sprees in another forum, please read carefully all the postings.

I think there is one spree organiser who messes up all the order, and now the spreeists are chasing her for refund, but have yet to hear from her.

Agree with Tamarind that it is still best to order oneself if possible.
Does anyone have experience which credit card gives better exchange rate? My impression of Amex is that its exchange rate is usually less favourable, even those that co-brand with DBS or UOB.

                  MMM:

This is the series I was refering to. One feature is :
                  幼儿首100字 -幼儿200字 -幼儿300字 -幼儿400字 -幼儿500字
So they will have repetitive words to enforce the 100 words,etc... My K1 is currently on the 100 words series. But KS me actually bought the entire series up to at least 300 words in case we do not go to Msia so often.

                  http://www.pelangibooks.com/module/series/series.aspx?seriesId=SBHQTRB

                  Hi

Does anyone have both these readers and the 四五快读? I have the former and am wondering if the latter would be repetitive.

I've seen these books - I think at bras basah. They have these at my boy's playgroup too. I'm not impressed with them bc the words are so tiny.
