MdmNg:
      hi all mummies n daddies,

am new to the forum and this is my 1st post. have a qns- i m a single mum. will my status affect my boy his chance of registration for pri 1? m staying at bkt panjang. so looking at bpps and zhenghua or greenridge. all within 1 km of my plc.

appreciate any replies. thank u. 🙂
Hi welcome! Your status should not affect your boy’s chances. They will only look at his citizenship.

But do take a look at MOE’s official P1 registration website. By default, the child’s address is usually assumed to be the same as the father’s IC address. So if you wish to use the mother’s address, you will need to give the supporting documents. Eg for divorcees and widowed, do check what documents they will accept.

I recall there was a forummer in the past, who said her son’s birth cert had no father’s name (due to some circumstances). And she managed to successfully register her boy in phase 2C. So I’m quite certain the status is not a problem.

You will have to use your new address for registration, unless you plan to stay in your current address for another 30 months.

Any recommendation between Teck Ghee Primary School or Anderson Primary School in terms of extra curriculum choices and school’s academic performance? Many thanks for any kind advice.

I would prefer tgps.. the principle there has a great vision for academic excellence.

                  Hi all,

I’m trying hard to find posts/forumfrom twins parents on how they register their twins into the same primary school. My twins born in 2013. Anyone has any idea on this? I’m worried if go through electronic ballot, one of the twins got selected and the other did not.

I’m staying in Sengkang and our first choice is CHIJ -OLN. No affliation nor in the religion but it’s within 1-2km range.

                  What would the chances be?

Your scenario will never happen if your twins have applied to the same school. Refer to MOE FAQ on twins:
For the purpose of balloting in the Primary One (P1) Registration Exercise, siblings/twins/triplets of the same citizenship will be treated as one group.

All the children will share the same ballot number, and all the children will be admitted to the school if any one of the siblings/twins/triplets is successful in the computerised ballot.
