yeah me too need a tutor for DS P5..any good centre to recommended pls?

KRTC Tiong Bahru 68780444, Mr Wong is good in P4,5,6 maths. He is very loud in class, will relentlessly pull children attention back.
My DS built interests in Science and Maths thru him.

Hi, as a parent, I will think that we also need to play a role in our children’s learnings be it in school or at tuition.

I agree it is quite absurd for the tutor to say that but I also agree that the situation the tutor has said that was because the child could be really very slow. I am sure the tutor could not have said that in a demanding way? I mean this is Singapore, people I meet are reasonable and cordial.

It is sad to see tutors who do not have the patience. I think that it is imperative for a tutor to be patient as this will help during lessons.

Also, as a tutor, you need to have alot of initiatives. For example, if a method has been shown twice and the child could not understand it, then what the tutor should do would be to find out why the child is still having difficulties. That way, the tutor could then find a different method to use.

            Regards,

                Hi Kitty2,

I agree partially regarding the difficulty in finding such a tutor. There are many out there and I am one of those.... hehe 😉

Anyway, as a parent, you need to know what you are looking for in a tutor and convey this to the tutor. Always take a bit of time to chat with them about your child and this would give a good impression of the tutor.

                Regards,

ok, no prob. group tuition is good as the kids can make friends and learn together. 🙂 but must guide and supervise them.
