Hi, have just spoken to an agency… Fresh helper from Myanmar costs ~450sgd per month with weekly 1 day off. Experienced Myanmar helpers cost the same as Indonesian ones, ~550.

Mine just returned to Myanmar. She’s capable but the next employer will have to be prepared for manipulation, lies (a lot), damages (a lot a lot) to household stuff and revenge (when she gets corrected or when she doesn’t get her way). The most ridiculous was she pried open my Iphone and denied (unfortunately, she was caught on cctv).
While she was efficient throughout her term with us, there was quite a fair bit of mind games. It was hellish during the period when she insisted on going back.

Anyone can share how to renew Myanmar passport? Need to renew for my helper but their embassy website does not provide much info and only ask to fill in the online appointment. There isn’t any online form we can print out too.

To renew passport, go to Martin Road (opp Tanglin Mall) quiet road. Yes, hv to book appt prior to going down coz they'll not entertain on the spot appl. Pls prepare sufficient passport photos (might hv changed as my helper said had to pay for photos taken on the spot in Mynmar last month so things may hv changed).
Submit appln in the morning (before 12 noon) & collection before 4pm same day. You shld be able to find the forms online -

Let us know if there are processes that changed & others can benefit fr yr recent experience. Booking online for appt is very necessary. So u might like to book a time near 11am, bring yr Mynmar helper down, go for lunch & back ard 2pm. Only thing is not sure if they can work fast turnaround time. I stay quite near so I return home & go back by 3pm
