Hi nz7976, it would be too late for you to apply as PV in Beacon because your son is going to P1 next year. PV starts one year before registration.

I have just went through the interview at Beacon. What can I say? I like the first impression it gave me.

Hi bigeyedfish,
What interview was that? For the PV? Do tell your first impressions about the school.bigeyedfish:

hi mummies,
i live at hazel park and nv do PV. I have check at BPPS is within 1km from my hse but its such a popular school. as for other sch near are beacon and greenridge but both more then 2km. I am confuse to enrol hin in which pri he will hv higher chances getting inβ¦
anyone who nv do PV and hv same worries like mi or hv encounter this sort scenario b4? -
hi Joeyz18,
You can try BPPS, since you are within 1 km. But be prepared for balloting also. What you should do is monitor the situation for the first 2 days, then take a decision based on which school you have the best chance. Hope this helps.Joeyz18:

Hi,
did that last year. A very memorable experience. Just some advice:
#1: Pri 1 exercise is NOT first come first serve so there is no advantage to submit on the first day. However, there might be a rush to submit on the last day.
#2: Balloting. Just remember: Buy 4-D & Toto. Keep your hopes high but prepare for disappointment. 2nd and even 3rd choice schools if not successful.
#3: Enjoy the Experience. Understand the disappointment when not successful but take it in stride and go for the next alternative. Either put the name in waiting lists or move on. Keep the spirits up.
It is easier said then done but enjoy the experience.
Cheers. -
Hi all,
I am new to kiasuparents. My boy will be going to P1 next yr and we are residing in BP. Hope to be able to interact with more parents in BP who will be going through P1 reg this yr as well. :rahrah:
Mine will be going through phase 2C as I did not sign up for any PV.
Hope to hear from more parents and which phase you will be registering your child in.
