      Hi parents,

If a child gets the following marks for SA1 in P6 in Nan Hua, is it consider good or it is a concern? Also, is there any way to help a child who is prone to being careless? Thank you.

      Science 84
      Math 91
      Chinese 85
      English 86

T score about 249, P5 final result? I would compare from there.

Hi can i ask how the T score of 249 was calculated from the above marks? Thanks.

              Total of 4 subjects :-
              the Total Raw score, which a P6 student scored at P6 SA1 / SA2 (Prelim) : -
is what the student achieved, for 4 main core subjects.

If the scenario is at a PSLE setting :-
then mean, standard deviation of entire cohort of thousands of P6 students will come in, to compute the actual T-score.

              But, if the scenario happen at P6 SA1 (mid-year) / SA2 (Prelim) exam, in a school :-
if can obtain the mean, standard deviation of the entire 2018 P6 cohort in this school (Nan Hua primary) from school Principal, one can pluck in the figures, to compute the T-score, too.

(some Primary schools do actually release the mean & std deviation inside their Report card, at every SA1 and SA2 exam for their cohort to see, while other schools are very secretive)

In the event don't have any mean / std deviation figures, the closest we try to compute is :-
either take 0.72 or 0.73, to compute, more realistic.

Some parents used 0.75, as they are optimistic.
              Suppose we take 0.75 x 346 (total of 84, 85, 86, 91) : end up with T-score 259

              If take 0.73 x 346 : end up with 252 T-score

I choose 0.72, to be conservative and cautious.

Thanks. Hopefully the PSLE score see some improvements as compared to SA1. Fingers crossed.

Can I know the current “upgrading” is to repaint and refurbish the existing facility only or to expand the school size with more rooms / facilities? Will the school expand after upgrade ?

Cos I realize the exam papers questions are different from tag class vs normal stream. Thus wondering what Happen
Are you referring to only the HCL paper?

They are tearing down one or two old blocks and building a new and taller block.
