      phtthp:
understand that Dunman High is an IP SAP school. From Sec 1, everyone do Higher Chinese.

At end of Sec 3 :-
for students who cannot cope with Higher Chinese, can they drop, and take Normal Chinese instead, in Sec 4 ?
Now at the end of Sec2, those that cannot cope, take Normal Chinese at Y3,4 and then at year 5 take H1 Chinese. .. this is the info I confirmed with Teacher yesterday... hopefully I didn’t misinterpret the info...

Also the normal Chinese can only be considered a R-type subject in the L1R5 for GPA computation whereas HCL is a L-type subject, similar to Language Arts.

Thanks. Any train station that is walking distance? I remembered hearing a group of students saying they are walking to the train station when I was there some time back.

My son is studying at DHS. He walks from Mountbatten to school. Cut through those HDB blocks. Faster than 158.

After 5.30 pm evening, after Cca end: is it still safe for girls, to cut across DHS to Mountbatten MRT, via HDB blocks ?

You will still have to cut across the hdb blocks to get to the bus stop on the main road, unless taking 158, for services like 12, 14, 30, 158, 19x, etc…

Currently nearest is Mountbatten. Katong Park station will open in 2023, very near DHS. One and only bus 158 outside the school.

I think it is safe. Can choose to walk along the more brightly lit main road. Many of them walk and in groups. Take about 10 min and many will go to Mac or KFC to chill.
