your qn is not new. In fact, has been asked several times before, by many batches that came, before your son, because it is an FAQ (Frequently Asked qn)

All u need to do, is just google patiently, go back to past pages, to find the answer.

              Hello Everyone,

Can anyone solve the below speed question?

Tom takes 16 minutes to walk from home to school. Jerry takes 24 minutes to walk to school from home using the same route. At 10.00AM, Jerry walked from home to school while Tom walked from school to home at 10.02AM. When both meet along the journey, Tom would have walked 200m more than Jerry.
Find the distance between home and school.

The distance should be 2000m . I can only use algebra to solve it.

                      Miracle Child:
Does anyone know when do the overseas student attachment programme usually take place? Is it normally during the year-end school holidays? Trying to plan for holidays but DS was asking me what happens if OSAP takes place then? Also, such OSAP are usually meant for upper years (4-6) or is it applicable to lower years (1-3) as well? Thanks.

hi! most OSAP is usually open to the upper years, but some lower year students might have the rare chance to go overseas too. OSAP usually takes place during the march/june (first half)/sept holidays with a few exceptions.

Hello, fren's kid (MS, award winner of MA & SC Olympiads) finds the MA questions (MCQ&OE, similar difficulty level as RIPMWC) tricky but the SC questions (MCQ only, periodic table, chemistry...) manageable. NUS High test site was the first to fill up; then there were also test sites at HPPS & SHPS. Good luck to all!
