Ya.. but other years, the balloting is at >2km.. dunno whether shd risk it. coz if i'm not wrong, the sch has sch bus to paya lebar area..
You are aware this year is Dragon year batch, so will be hotter than previous years ya?zac's mum:
any chance of getting into St Hilda Pri Sch under Phrase 2B (1-2Km)??
Last year balloting for 1-2km. This year unlikely u will have chance to ballot.
You are also aware that even if you have a chance to ballot, your ballot ball may not be picked ya? Thus wasting all your precious years of doing GRL work ya?
In addition, you are aware that even if you get a place in any school, the school bus may be full and you may have to find your own tpt after all the stress you went thru ya?
It’s up to you.
Easier way may be to find your GRL contacts to set up some private bus arrangements. I’m sure there’s a demand out there. -

I remember some people have been asking about when are some primary schools having their Open House this year. MOE has their official list here:
https://www.schoolbag.sg/story/open-house-dates-of-primary-schools-2018?utm_source=moe-corp-site&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=2018-april
Those not on the list means they do NOT conduct Open House. If you want to have an unofficial tour, you may try your luck asking the security guard at the school. I advise bringing your child with you, so that you don’t seem like a pervert or snoop. June holidays fewer students around so you can have a good look at the empty compound. Or go when school reopens so you can observe the kids’ general behavior and logistics (how bad is the jam etc.) -

PR , girl applying in Phase 2C for:
Under 1km
1. Concord primary school
2. Choa Chu Kang primary school
1km-2km
3. Southview primary school
Over 2 km
4. De la Salle
5. Teck whey primary school
Going on historical data last year, all three schools need to be balloting for SC in phase 2C. Although before that have chance for PR balloting. What would be my strategy for securing a place at one of these the schools?
Or should I directly choose school is >2km in phase 2C instead of <2km? Is this a good strategies?
Many thanks in advance. -

You need to find some schools which have a very safe chance for PRs. -

Is that mean should I directly to apply school >2km, option 4 and 5 which is still available for phase 2C(s) registration from last year historic, no balloting on phase 2C? But it was 2 km away from my house, it is ok?
No, it is not a good strategy.yvonnechua84:

So far the nearest school is all in my list above from 1 to 5. Others school is even more far away.. -

Your safest school for Phase 2C which is not too far is Teck Whye Primary. Even De La Salle and Unity Primary are quite popular in certain years (look at the Take Up Rate, TUR, in phase 2C, it’s >90%! Meaning the whole school is almost full!)
If you need a backup for Phase 2C(S), it will have to be those unpopular schools even further away like Yew Tee Pri or Kranji Pri. -

If base on the last year chart, it is mean that if I select de la salle on phase 2C, even in PR and >2km, I still secure get the seat as they still have vacancy on phase 2C(S).
But due to this year dragon baby a lot, maybe chance will be lower. Unless I wan to try and if fail to get the seat then need to select Teck whye primary school already. As I found that the take up rate is even low at phase 2C(S)
