Hi all.. if my hubby is a grassroot leader in GRC A. But we moved to a new place in GRC B. But he is still active in grassroot activities in GRC A. Which primary schools will be eligible for our kid to register in?

I stay within 1km of the school I want to register to, but unlucky for me, the school is not in my GRC. I think the boundaries are a little different.


So based on the active community leader policy, I cannot apply for the school using phase 2b right? I can only apply for other school that are in my GRC for phase 2b.

Honestly I think this system needs some revision because for example, schools like ACS are under tanjong pagar GRC. That is no where near tanjong pagar. So if you stay in tanjong pagar, while you have alot of schools in your GRC, your chances aren’t that high.

Someone who stays along Bukit timah, say Warren estate is within 1km of ACS, but they do not qualify for active community leader cos they don’t belong to tanjong pagar GRC. And then when government change boundaries, all efforts wasted?

Would anyone know what PA screen for in their volunteers? I understand they screen for criminal records, bankruptcy records etc, any other major screenings?

you know, prior to the most recent election, RGPS was under Kallang Moulmein GRC.

Let us step back and think again - why anyone wants to be a GRL.

So if the PA needs more people, they adjust the benefits upwards.
If there are overflowing of unpaid volunteers, they adjust the benefits downwards.

Don't have fair or not one la...... the benefit is always the add-on intangible candy and should not be the critical decision making factor.

2. The parent then shifted to an apartment at GRC B.
3. The parents changed their residence address to the apartment at GRC B.
4. The chairman and CO allow the parent to continue serving as EM.

Question:
1. Since the PA letter is for the endorsement of the parent as an active community leader, can the parent qualify for phase 2B to a primary school in GRC B?

This does not seem to be in conflict with any PRESENT rules and regulations.
Would appreciate response based on most recent understanding of the system after 2015.

PA letter will be given based on the GRC which u reside in. Not based on GRC which u serve.

you are assuming that we are kpo uncle and auntie and exchange letters to compare.
(maybe AMK different from jurong leh....)

At least in my letter, there was :

my name
my kid's name
his birth cert number
my address
and very specifically the schools in the GRC of my address
