Noted with thanks. Will ask VP or P if we get transferred successfully. Reason I ask is because a lot of my friends with daughters in St Nick did not managed to get into St Nick Secondary. Maybe they are not so 'on the ball'. After hearing from you, I am quite assured. Thank you. :thankyou:

      Disneyland03:

No, my daughter is not in the school. We are planning to transfer her to St Nick, so I need feedback. Thank you.

St Nick doesn't wish to disclose detailed PSLE results, in a public Ksp forum like this.

However, if your daughter have been offered a Transfer successfully, into our school :-
on the actual Interview day itself, before you sign the Transfer form, you may pose such PSLE question to the interviewer in charge (either Principal or Vice-Principal will be present, on the actual interview day itself, to interview your daughter first, thereafter, interview the parent, next ) there and then, if your daughter is going to become one of our students eventually, in our school.

You may ask the interviewer in charge, any \"burning\" question that you have inside you, including this PSLE results batch question.

As we are not allowed to disclose PSLE results publicly : fyi, majority of the parents in this school are \"on the ball\" type. Perhaps this is the kind of expectation one should expect, if one is keen to Transfer their daughter, into St Nick.

As such, based on our latest example (batch) of 2018 P5 SA1 results :-
the mean (average) per subject, for entire P5 cohort level performance (Eng / Chin / Maths / Sci), is very high, compared to other neighbourhood primary schools' 2018 P5 SA1 batch results (performance) !

Part of the reason attributed to this high mean (average) score, per subject, across entire 2018 (current year) P5 cohort, I guess (thru reasoning out), is due to the fact that :-

in order to achieve T-score 230, so as to be able to come back for St Nick (O level) -
the score, per subject, on average, must at least be minimum 80 marks & above (so as to hit / reach T-score 230) ! Hence, all our Upper primary P5 students worked (studied) very hard, this year. Being P5 already, not much time difference left, from now, until next year, 2019 Psle.

Furthermore, students know that one mark less than 230 : cannot come back, anymore. Even appeal also no use !

One P6 student (scored 229) tried to appeal to come back St Nick (O level). But, appeal through affliation, failed. Today, she is studying in another Secondary school (posted by MOE during S1 posting post PSLE), inside Ang Mo Kio neighbourhood.

That's why every student here will do their very best ! Some students target beyond 230. eg : Some with great ambition targeting at least 250 T-score, while others targeting to pursue IP curriculum, are targeting at least minimum 260 ! As you know, St Nick IP Cut-off-point, hover around 258 ! Hence, this explained why the mean, for each of the 4 subjects, across entire P5 cohort was so high, in our recent P5 SA1 mid-year exam.

(2018 P5 batch parents who had seen / checked our SA1 Report card content, at cohort level : the mean (average), per subject, will know / understand)

Hi there, do you think there is any chance to get into St Nic in phase 2C - distance 1-2km ? Totally no chance or might have to ballot?

There is overwhelming subscription this year (2018 P1 registration, for 2012 dragon year born cohort).

Balloting to arise for Sg citizen (SC) children under Phase 2A1 : enrolling into CHIJ St Nicholas primary, residing more than 2 km, due to over-whelming response (subscription) !

number of vacancy, under Phase 2A1 : 101

number of children registered : 108

                    exceeded by 7 seats !

Due to balloting conducted at Phase 2A1 : Phase 2A2 will be bypassed at St Nick, because no more vacancy left, to absorb anymore 2A2.

Balloting will also arise at Catholic High Junior (for boys), and at Henry Park primary (co-ed), under Phase 2A1. A lot of little dragon-boys and little dragon-girls (\"xiao long nu\") are born, in year 2012 !

source of info (from MOE website, dated 4 July 2018)

                    https://www.moe.gov.sg/admissions/primary-one-registration/vacancies

20 seats had been reserved, for Phase 2B, and another 20 seats for 2C.
Intensive \" fierce \" balloting expected to arise, at both Phases (2B and 2C) for St nick, under less than 1 km, for SC only.

All those staying outside 1 km radius, from St Nick : No chance
