omg 10 years!!
Err... that is normal. I have friends > 20 years. It’s a fairly old organisation and good for networking for some people.

Say average age of attaining parenthood 35yo, child goes to p1 and parent be around 40yo
Minus 20yr
Means right after university we need to apply for Shhk membership, even before dating ? -
shhk membership is for life time. You can join anytime, after aged 21 (adult), if you are Hokkien

I’m a member of my school’s alumni association for > 10 years but my eldest is in P1 this year only. And for secondary schools, some of the strongest secondary schools’ alumni associations actually have no benefits attached to P1 registration as well. -
monajoba:
not just for SHHK membership. As long as turn adult (aged 21 & above) : can join SHHK or your own primary school alumni (Phase 2A1). No need to wait until get married, have kids, then join

Hi parents, I have a pair of twin girls born in 2014.
Currently I have 2 choices for P1 registration:
1) Pei Chun Public under phase 2A1 (hubby is alumni)
2) SCGS Primary under phase 2A2.
Would like to seek your advice on choosing between these two schools.
And the comparison between the two schools programme and student development. -

You can't go wrong with either one. The end result is still the PSLE.Hi parents, I have a pair of twin girls born in 2014.

That said, SCGS Primary has affiliation benefit for admission into SCGS O-Level programme track.
The best option would be to pick the one nearest / most convenient to your home. -

I am assuming you studied in SCGS, hence you are eligible to “up” your priority even further to 2A1. Just join the alumni association.Hi parents, I have a pair of twin girls born in 2014.

Then go for SCGS in 2A1.
Everybody that I know who has daughters, are all scrambling and fighting to put them in SCGS. (The ones who are strong Christians, usually will prefer MGS. The ones who are Catholics or living in far north/northeast, will prefer St Nicks.) These are the top choices and best all-girls schools in Singapore. That’s my blunt opinion.
