Phtthp is correct. The DSA intake of regular IP schools is average of 35%. Meaning there is a whopping majority of 65% of those schools’ cohort who entered IP stream by their PSLE score via the Sec 1 posting exercise.
So don’t scare yourself (or your child)!!! Continue to study hard for PSLE and don’t be too anxious about DSA offers if there is no news. -
Any idea on the SD and Mean value for last year psle tscore subjects?

If my child is not taking Higher Chinese for PSLE, can she still applied for SAP Secondary School?

Yes but she will be expected to take Higher Chinese as a mother tongue in the SAP school. -
If her standard is not good enough to take higher Chinese in Sec sch, how?

Some SAP school requirement is to take higher Chinese. If not able to take higher Chinese, then I guess just don't choose that school? -
Ok, some caveats from what I mentioned.
Just checked that if the SAP school offers O-levels as well as IP, then yes, your daughter can still enter the SAP school and just take Chinese without taking Higher Chinese.
There are some SAP schools which only takes in IP and in those cases, the students must take Higher Chinese. So if your daughter does not want to take Higher Chinese, then don’t choose those schools but you can still opt for those which allow her to just take Chinese.
Each of those schools have FAQs which do mention this particular point (on what the students must offer in terms of Chinese/ Higher Chinese). -
Some SAP schools impose compulsory to take HCL at Sec 1 but allow the students to drop and just take Chinese if they cannot handle it.

Could we share English and Mother Tongue oral topics for Prelims here. Some school already had the oral. I know ACS and SCGS had theirs. Anyone can share the topics tested?
One of the CL video I know of involves the topic of being attentive in lesson + affecting others (cos of disturbance/interruption): fooling around with classmates; phone rang in middle of a class.
