Hello!

Can I please ask if both parents need to be present for registration? Or only one parent with both ICs is good enough?

      Thanks a lot!!
Only one parent is needed. You need other documents in addition to the two ICs though.

btw Gongshang & Poi Ching, which is a better choice?? i'm just worried abt the chinese standard in Poi Ching..

        :scared:

Ha.. okok.. rephrase.. i'm worried my kid not able to catch up with the chinese standard in Poi Ching. Though poi ching looks like a better choice (in terms of maybe no need to ballot under 2B) than gongshang.
Hi,

Poi Ching definitely has more places for 2B. The chance for ballot is lower. However you do have a valid concern about the chinese standard. All children do higher chinese from p1. Some drop it at later years. For p1-2, the school uses its own set of chinese textbooks. This programme adopts a very fast paced learning and requires daily revision. Naturally if your child is able to keep up, he/she benefits from an impressive repertoire of word recognition at the end of the two years. You were asking more about the school too. As an SAP school, all children are exposed to chinese language and culture elements. Eg. Chinese calligraphy, wushu, chinese painting and various other programmes. Even the CCAs offered are chinese-y ones. At upper levels, there is a translation class for selected pupils.

        Hope that helps.

Does anyone have any idea why Angsana isn't as popular as the other schools in the same vicinity? Like Tampines Primary, Chongzheng, Yumin, etc? Their enrolment figures seems consistently low since 2015 despite the higher no. of vacancies available. :scratchhead:

Considering it as our 2Cs back-up. Appreciate any thoughts/feedback on this school.
I have been wondering about this for many years too. The school has in fact been merged with another one and renamed. It was formerly called Qiaonan. TUR has been low since the beginning of the dataset.

                Skii,
I did a withdrawal for my kid a few days ago. Just head to the school where he/she has a place, inform the staff, then provide both ICs. Then just sign some document to acknowledge you are withdrawing your child from the school, and done. 10 minutes in all

jenliu was asking about registration. Other documents are needed depending on the phase. These include child birth certificate and immunisation records.
Sorry I thought you were referring to withdrawal. For registration, you have to bring all relevant original documents, such as both parents' NRIC, birth certificate, immunisation record, recommendation letter (For Phase 2B), etc.
