Hello!
Can I please ask if both parents need to be present for registration? Or only one parent with both ICs is good enough?
Thanks a lot!! -

Skii,
I did a withdrawal for my kid a few days ago. Just head to the school where he/she has a place, inform the staff, then provide both ICs. Then just sign some document to acknowledge you are withdrawing your child from the school, and done. 10 minutes in all -
jenliu was asking about registration. Other documents are needed depending on the phase. These include child birth certificate and immunisation records.

[/quote]Sorry I thought you were referring to withdrawal. For registration, you have to bring all relevant original documents, such as both parents' NRIC, birth certificate, immunisation record, recommendation letter (For Phase 2B), etc. What other documents?

Good luck for the parents registering in Phase 2B this year.
After registering, bring your kid out for a relaxing day and spend time with them and build the bonds between parent and child.
At the end of the day, its only P1 registration. If you gain admission good. If you don’t, its not the end of the world. There are other milestones in your child’s life thats more important.
All the best! -

Thanks Tinywings for raising this concern.. as i also have such concern.
1. The school officers are merely messengers.tinywings:
Question: what if on the last day of registration for our phases and we go to the sch on site to ask, but the registration officer advised us to not to waste our chance and discouraged us from applying? My concerns are:
1. The sch might \"play us out\" or at real time there are withdrawals happening at the other counter, that particular officer does not know of. Hence, incorrect info/advise provided.
2. The officer find it a hassle to process additional applicants since/if all seats are filled up exactly.
3. The sch mgmt itself wish to prevent a ballot, the hassle of reporting and arranging the ballot with MOE, hence discouraged the incoming applicants on the last day from applying.
Then after the closing date you realised from the MOE balloting website that actually your distance/SC status actually u are eligible to register.
What are your thoughts if the above would happened?
2. You are the ultimate decision maker.
If you listen to the messenger’s advice, good. If you refuse to listen to the messenger’s advice, also good.
Ultimately you decide for yourself so there’s no one to blame but yourself.
After reading all these comments, agreed that will just follow your own decision or gut feeling.. those messengers' advices are just for reference only, we can decide whether to take it or leave it.
I still have to wait for 2 weeks for Phase 2C.. sigh.. hope everything is smooth for me .... :xedfingers: -
P1 registration has reached 2B. All the best for you…the journey has just started. regardless of the school your child enters, parents would need to put in their fair bit of involvement. the more popular the school is, the more parental involvement is required.
