True story, there is a Principal in a neighbourhood sch, his son was in his own school in p1 but in p2, the P transferred his own son out to a more popular school nearby. Even the staff and parents within that school were gossiping about this. Why he has no confidence in the own school that he is a P of, must transfer his son to a \"better\" sch?

because Principal of that school doesnt want himself nor his son, to be the target of gossip, in his own school.

Being the Principal, everyone expect his son to do well. What if his son doesn't do well ?

By transferring to a better sch, the P is alr putting himself a target of gossip. If he had transferred his son to another equally non popular \"neighbourhood\" sch, then people would shut up.

teachers themselves are stressed when their kids attend the same school…so sometimes, convenience does not always work.

                  Need some advice here

                  SC, No schools within 1km
Within 1-2km (St Hildas, Junyuan, Poi Ching, Tampines Pri)

All seems to be super popular schools. For the first three, seems I wouldn't even stand a chance? My only bet is Tampines Primary? But there is chance that it might go into balloting too for 1-2km? Don't want to go to 2CS.

                  i took a glance at all 4.

For 1-2km, dont try poi ching and st hilda in 2C. For Junyuan, my feel is its either applicants of 1.5 to 1 if balloting is needed for 1-2km (exact numbers you will need to find out at the registration) or it will be a within 1km balloting.

Tampines looks fine for 2C 1-2km. balloting odds should be fairly alright in case of a unlikely case of balloting for 1-2km.

I think Tampines primary is still okay to try at 2C for 1-2km. Especially if you do not want to go into 2CS. So far I have heard decent comments about the school.

just curious, vacancies increases by 1 meaning someone withdrawn from earlier phases?
