Hi,
Pupils will learn problem-solving skills at the PSLE Creative Maths Tricks Camp and the PSLE Preparation (Heuristics) Maths Camp.
They will then be able to use these skills to solve Challenging Paper 2 maths questions at the rest of the camps (PSLE Challenging Maths Camp, PSLE Power Maths Camp, PSLE Super Maths Camp, PSLE Final Preparation Maths Camp)
For this year’s dates, please see http://www.speedmaths.com
Hope this helps. [/quote]
Hi speedmaths.com
I enrolled my son for the 'One-day PSLE Preparation Maths Camp@RI'. Is this the same as the one you mentioned 'PSLE Preparation (Heuristics) Maths Camp' ?
So after this course, he should be prepared for the next one which is 'One-day PSLE Challenging Maths Camp@RI' ?
Thank you. -
Hi,
Yes, they are the same.
After this, you may wish to consider the Challenging Maths, Super Maths and Power Maths Camps.

Hi,
The Alternative Story will be conducting an intensive English Holiday program for the primary school students at their center. This program is to expose them to a wide range of creative writing strategies and also covers vocabulary building and comprehension strategies. It is also geared to help children get ready for their PSLE.
These are the details:
Dates: 15 to 17 June.
Timing for each day: 10 am - 2 pm (the children can bring in snacks to eat during a 15 minute break)
Cost:
Original cost is $240 but for this June holiday program, they are having a 30% discount for those who sign up before June. There is a 50% discount if we sign up before June and in a group of 4.
Sign up before June: $168
I am wondering if there’s any mummy out there who’s interested in signing up for their children. We can form a group of 4 and pay only $120 each. -

Hi, I have a child currently in P5 and would like to know when should I start her for the PSLE intensive programme. Is there any good recommendations for centres that provide intensive programmes for 1 to 4 subjects?
Thank you. -
I feel you should know your child better than anyone else… and if you want a second opinion you should ask someone who knows your child rather well in his academics study. I have some teacher friends and from what I hear from them, there’s a "peak" for preparing PSLE. When the teachers drill the class usually it is pitched at the majority in the school or class. Often when they started drilling the children, they have an aim that it should be peak about 2 weeks just before PSLE so that the kids would have their peak performance. Read up on peak performance by atheletes … it’s the same. Beyond that stage, the performance would dip. So if you start too soon, the child might not even perform well at the time of PSLE. Speak to the P 6 teachers they know better than any layman. And each child is different.

My child did not do well in his recent P6 SA1. I am very worried if his tyre already punctured as he is self-motivated all the while.
How can I help him gain his peak ? -

i did not read up much abt the \"peak drilling\"
as for my gal 's school (she was P6 last yr),
her teacher continue to give out exams papers even till the last few days B4 PSLE
everyday, she was busy doing all 4 subjects of past yr papers
and the next day, the teacher would just flash the answers on the screen
and every1 was busy copying down the answers, without much understanding
i felt that \"Enough is Enough\"
i din wana her to be mentally tired out,
so i \"withdraw\" her fr sch for 2 days,
instead, i brought her to the beach to relax and do some shopping....... -
Augmum:
Currently, this process seem to be repeating year after year and in all school, in preparing for P6 but is it efficient? What reason did you give to the school to bring her out to do shopping?
