I agreed. All the new BOTs are more than 1km. McNair Tower, Bendemeer Light and Condos near City Square Mall. CityView BTO six years ago.Orb:
I think for HWS parents who have boys, if they withdraw, are likely going to try for SJI Jr as they may be staying within 1 km or 1-2km as it is relatively safer than the 28:114 seats vs applicants in HWS.
Please take into account the ACS parents who are still on the fence today. They will flood SJIJ at the last minute and some SJIJ parents >1 km might not have enough time to activate Plan B.
There were more 140 applications for the PV and the school only took in 20 living within 1km -
go to moe website. search under ‘school vacancies by phases’.
as of now, you can only see figures from yesterday.
acs junior and primary is not oversubscribed YET.
SJI junior is already oversubscribed. -
Hi Parents
Good afternoon! Just a quick check with other parents who had also registered their kids for P1 online…
1) Do you receive a confirmation email after registration? For me, I did not. The only message i receive is at the end screen of the online registration page saying "Your registration has been submitted" (text in green). Is that all?
2) I did not encounter any prompt to upload any scanned documents (such as NRIC, birth certs etc) during the online registration process. Is that the same thing with those who registered online too? I heard one must present all these documents when registering in person at the school itself.
Pls let me know if I have missed anything. Thank you very much and have a good day ahead! -

2) Only need to submit/present original documents at the school after receiving confirmation SMS/letter of successful/unsuccessful enrolment at the end of the phase (2C/2CS). Further details will be provided by the school in the confirmation SMS/letter. -

All KSP Folks applying for 2C
Keep cool and review your plan.
If everything is within expectation, stick to your plan.
If it exceeded your expectation, do you have a backup plan?
If you didn't have a plan, maybe sit back and think through for a moment.
For schools with overflow folks, 2Cs will be another mind blogging exercise to analyse catchment area (it's a tough job) and trying to determine these parents will go for any particular school around that area. If the backup choices has lower in numbers, some folks will be forced to go through another balloting.
Every year, many others have experience the same anxiety and sleepless nights for this registration exercise, everyone here is trying their best for the kids.
Let's not forget registering for school is the 1st step of the primary school learning journey.
With the same spirit and determination, be with the kid in their learning journey will yield result as well.
So keep cool and stay calm.
Agreed... :goodpost: :thankyou: -

Curious to know too.. thanks in advance..Hi Parents
Does anyone has latest update for Jiemin Primary School as of now?
Thank you in advance
-
Hi, anyone has any opinions for chances for SC. For Xinmin, Hougang primary (both 1-2km)?
Appreciate your opinions… -
Hougang pri already called parents within 1-2km to withdraw. No chance

SCGS confirm balloting <1km. No number/ breakdown given.
Yup, confirmed, went to check at the office. Looks like they’re back to their usual form from 4 years ago where 2C <1km required balloting. Last 3 years were outlier years where even 1-2km don’t need to ballot sometimes.
And with the baby boom in the coming Horse and SG50 batches, it’s likely to continue the trend.
