Are all SC over 2km treated the same in the ballot or does someone 2.1kms have priority over 3 or 4km?

            There are only 3 categories:
            <1 km
            1 to 2 km
            > 2km

Therefore, you could be living on the Moon but your priority is still the same with someone living a little over 2km away.

Yup u r right..But if all SC applicants oversubscriped..I wont..
But as of today morning as per last nite regn..
I heard it is 15seats are PR n rest are SC..
So if got chances for PR balloting thinking to go for it. N see her luck..
as my kid can even go by herself..as juz a pedestrain cross over..

If the chances are for PR balloting, all the more a PR shouldn’t join in. Once you missed out, your next alternative in 2Cs is going to be disastrous.

Bearing in mind that PR are after SC, regardless of distance (and there are plenty of SCs that are going to be disappointed from NCPS, RPS, CPS, etc) you may not have a viable or choice that you like / want in 2CS.

Let the others go fight it out, while you secure a slot without worrying about the worst case scenario.

Yup in the end , I did as you said..although I cldnt find time to open Kiasu n.look for msgs..going on..
So I m sticking on to curr school PLMGS although its far away..

child can learn a discipline to wake up early and avoid using technology too..
As being early at home..kids r more prone to phone..than discipline self study..except few disciplined kids even in this gen.

As I saw there few SC withdraw n came to Springdale...for 5 to 7 seats ..as per phone call ..PR will go ballot..
not sure if its PR or SC vying for it..as it may b wrong..I saw last min withdrawal frm springdale too..as vacancies increased from 115 to 118 today.

                  Hi all.

The school that we registered our twin boys at - Temasek Primary - is severely oversubscribed (81 applicants for 34 vacancies).

We are SCs within 1km of Temasek but I think the chance of balloting is high. Our 2nd choice was St Stephen’s (>2km) but it is 91% filled after today (19 vacancies left for 2CS) so if we are not successful with Temasek, doubt if we should try.

Our 3rd choice is Bedok Green (<1km) and the numbers look healthy enough (64 applicants for 164 vacancies).

I would like to ask if anyone can share about Bedok Green as we don’t know anyone with kids studying there. Only have info from their website, and can’t seem to find much fm KSP too. Would like to know how the school is academically (e.g. passing rates for PSLE), how the teachers are (supportive? caring?), and whether any parent has had any negative experiences with the school.

Also grateful if anyone has suggestions on alternative schools that we should consider which we may have missed out.

                  TIA!! :salute:

If I were you and you like st Stephens just give it a shot in phase 2cs. If you don’t get in moe will automatically assign you to the nearest school so you will still go to bedok green if all fails. Give st Stephens a shot if you like it. But that is my strategy just sharing others may thing otherwise.

With a balance of 19 seats in 2CS, St Stephen’s is likely to be oversubscribed and may have to ballot. If that happens, being >2km, you may not get the chance to ballot and you lose your 2CS chance.

I’d suggest you monitor the numbers first and register on the last day in 2CS. However my advice is go for Bedok Green.
