2018 P1 registration exercise for 2019 intake

I wonder if there are any parents who will withdraw from their 2A, 2B schools and apply in 2CS. When this happens, they’ll free up 1 vacancy and no one will know.

Anyone who withdrew in earlier phases like phase 1/2A/2B and managed to apply a sch nearer home at 2C? Pls share your experiences:

- U successfully guaranteed a place? Or
- Awaiting balloting results?

Just to share, we aborted our plan due to the uncertainty in the last 2hrs from 2.30 to 4.30pm. Sure enough, 11 SC walked in the last 2hrs and my choice school is currently in a balloting situation (At closing time we still had no idea then).

Thank u Zac's mum for the reminder to all the parents here. My girl was aware what happened. She cried saying then she come home so late. Broke my heart seeing her cried.

Give up their Phase 1 and Phase 2A2 seat for Phase 2C, not Phase 2C Suppl. 2 such cases from Tao Nan school as shown on their website. Most probably they wanted a school nearer to home.

Hi Guys..Anybody got the latest numbers for HGS? How many applicants and vacancies? Is the balloting tomorrow? Thanks in advance.

I think someone posted earlier that it would be 33 applicants balloting for 28 vacancies. Not sure when ballot is actually conducted but result will be announced on Wednesday, 8th. Good luck to you.

Could be they registered early to secure a place and monitor schools around their homes in 2C and didnt dare execute their plans. Maybe in 2C they change their minds and go for some schools with many vacancies.
So what happens to the vacancy if they decided to withdraw since MOE wont publish the vacacies anymore.

1st: 2A(1) or (2) withdrew to 2C for ACSP ballot.
2nd: 2B withdrew to 2C for SCGS ballot.
Both won ballot. Happily ever after.

withdraw from 2A yes...but it is a very dangerous game to play because there is time required to withdraw and run to the school with vacancy in 2C. withdraw from 2B not that I heard of because parents would have put in effort to do PV.
withdraw to register at 2CS? for what?

For registration in school for P1, may I know is it both parents must be around in order to register the kid to the school?
