Usually one parent will start to get the contact number of other parents during the P1 orientation to create whatsapp group chat. I did that with my son’s classmates’ parents.

Any PV from Pei Chun Public School able to share how many PV Pei Chun accept every year? What are the assignments available and how does Pei Chun keep PV informed of any event/activities?

During my year as a PV (about 3 years ago), the school took in 32 places (meant 32 potential P1 registration) under the PV scheme.

Once accepted, the school admin will inform all the PVs via email once there are any PV assignment and you and spouse can sign up via replying to the emails.

Assignments include traffic warden, help out during events such as founder’s day, children’s day, etc and events such as swimming lessons at TP swimming pool. For some events, will have to take leave during weekdays.

thanks for sharing, but do you know why the school took in 32 places. but we always see only around 20+ PV at B1 stage ? for example 2018 is around 23. thanks.

Babygalore09 mentioned her PV was 3 years ago. When I did my PV 5 years ago when it was also about 30 PV taken. Before 2017, there were more than enough space in Phase 2B for 30 PVs.

It is only these 2 years that PCPS has reduced their intake by 60 spaces (from 360 to 300).
For Phase 2B in 2017 only 17 applicants and 2018 only 23 applicants. These applicants are not 100% PCPS PV anyway, so there is no way there were 30 PV in the last 2 years.

A friend of mine did checked with the school, for the current dragon year PV applicants, there were 200 and only about 20 selected.

Better to go via GRC, and you have 3 schools (PCPS, KCPS, CHIJ) to place your bet. Not to mentioned the hours increased to 80 !!

Hi all ... a silly question but do you let your DD wear shorts under the skirt ? DD hates wearing shorts under so she doesn’t but she has been coming home recently telling me that the white skirt is too translucent and ppl can see through the skirt :yikes: I checked yesterday and it’s really very obvious, even with light colors ! Wat should I do if she is really against shorts ??
