Wow, here is so much peaceful compared to DSA thread.

Would like to ask whether prelim is suppose to set harder than PSLE? If so, how many plus minus points should be the best estimate of T score? TIA.
The plus/minus points depends on the school your child is in.
If the overall standard of the school is higher (ie. the mean is high, standard deviation is low), then you can add points to the t-score. This should be based on the previous correlation for the school using previous batches information.

Eg. Some schools add points to the prelim score to get the estimated PSLE score. Other schools prelim scores = psle score.

If this info is not available, then you would not know whether to add or not. But you can still use the 0.72-0.75 method to estimate (total raw score multiply by 0.72 or 0.75).

          Estéema:

S'times jeremyexampapers boss rush out right after most schools did Prelims coz not much time for kids to practice other schools Prelim papers as very close to PSLE. They gotta work VERY FAST for those P6 kids.

Last year they printed & left out Henry Park. I rmbr the boss kept asking me if I want the moment he printed he'll send to me. I didn't realized usefulness until week after he distributed. Then there was the frantic sharing of NYP papers. Ha, ha, ha... still rmbr coz a lot of emailing ard. :slapshead:
And most schools only finished last week (20/8 week)?

So why was there a “frantic sharing of NY papers”? Is that THE school to do?

If you dont want to try every school in the stack, and only want to do 2 schools per subject, what are the ones we should try?

Oic, dd in neighbourhood school. Will use the most conservative method for estimation. Thanks for the tip!

From the t-scores provided by the school in the last few yrs ... it can go as low as 10 for some subjects and as high as 18 for others.

If you want to damper DC's confidence.

Rosyth and NH would be good enough. If got a little more time, maybe Raffles

                    $45 for 4subjects P6 Prelim 2018 Top schools exam papers. Contact 98510000.

If your child has completed the prelim exam papers for 2017, I think it would be good to buy the 2018 ones. Otherwise, it will be a waste of money to spend $45 just for P6 2018 exam prelim papers.

May I ask is this from Jeremy vendor or who?

Can I check if the prelim papers are physical copies or soft copies? Any idea which are the schools included?

I saw an ad recently by another vendor. I think they give only the soft copies and some of the popular schools eg NYPS, RGS, HPPS are not on the list.

Not all schools though - probably haven't returned yet.
