Japanese companies usually do not hv locals as CEOs or in Senior mgt. Until last couple of decade Sporeans built up good reputation as competent & trusted mgt material we begin to see Jap companies reducing their expat burdens. It’s really tarnishing Sporean’s pride if truly found

the board of directors agreed to have Vivian as ambassador for Pokka...I didn't know her husband is the CEO either.

I know of a pompous CEO, who bought a yacht & live highly entertaining alot. He’s got all the trappings of high living ownership of landed prop, cars, etc.


His high living actually alerted the foreign owners & they quietly investigated him, as his earlier request for a yacht was not approved as a perk. But he went ahead to put in his option under his own account, yielding to temptation of a good deal. After close to a year, he was sacked for abuse of power. He had been using company manpower to maintain his expensive yacht. As to engage professional services will be too costly. It was found he had used company resources for personal use in many many areas. for Japanese companies, thought their Human Resources rule state CEO hired are usually their own Japanese people. How come hire a Singaporean (her husband), to be a CEO ? Dont quite understand.
