DD hope to do triple sciences with geography as the humanities. Don’t think will be an issue based on her previous science results.

I am more worried for her Chinese. But she seems ok with today chinese paper. After all the chinese tuition, hope to see her at least pass the comprehension.

Yup, I think mine calls it Governance and State or Thinking, along that line. I don’t know what contents are covered. Social studies (examinable) only during P4-6.

If 70 is required for 2 pure sciences then even tougher for triple sciences… there will b only 1 triple, 2 double n 1 combined science class so i think requirement slightly different…

But it is only serve as an Elective not a pure subject .
How abt Hunanities in IP , pure Geog or elective geog ( history too?)

                  Sch dependent I think
                  75 for triple sci
All express classes -8 or 9 classes in total , depend on cohort .
There is one Killer class ie 3 pure sci 2 elective humans,1 Ss, 2 math , hcl etc

son told me if he had to pure history in sec 3, he would have to study 4 books.

social studies is not going to be easy. basically I just dare not think of next year. settle year end exams for now followed by streaming after that.

Pure Geog is a live subject , rather project based n relavant to current context ( population , tourism , energy conservation , landscape chg due to physical temperate chg, employment , housing , immigration , birth rate , natural disasters etc ) I think it is useful to broaden the mind n read up what’s happening around the world , may have some relevance n application to GP at A level - logical / critical writing skills. History really need a lot of memory work ;love of Eng language ( my child is history elective , dun think he enjoys the memory work for exam)
