2019 PSLE Discussions and Strategies (Children born in 2007)

Zappy:
agree. p3/4 topics would have been somewhat forgotten even though they are tested for SA2...so this nov/dec is the time to revise them again. the pace can be more relaxed since there is no school. topics like diversity taught in p3 would need to be re-visited. ramp up in December and then take a week's break before Christmas and New Year. if possible, start preparing for P6 because teachers would be rushing through when school begins and there is CA1 after CNY.Might be good to do some revision of P3/ P4 topics in Dec.
A lot of the P5 topics are covered in P6/ past year papers, so they are fresher in the mind.
For the earlier topics, they are still in the PSLE syllabus so some questions will come out.
But many kids would have forgotten some of the earlier years' work already. -

Zac mom have certain useful info missing, about the school, itself: doesn't contain (compile) the highest T-score entry, for each particular school.
The above site left out O-Level COP for IP schools.
IMHO, https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=91634&p=1877628#p1877626 in this forum is better.
Would be good, if she can include in as well, next time (future enhancement, going forward)
WHY is it useful ?
example
If not for the 2nd column (Highest T-score entry, for each School) :
a)
one would never realized that girls with T-score 284 (so high) had chosen St Nick (IP), instead of easily gone over to either RGS or Nanyang Girls High.
284 is very high !
b)
one would never realized that NYGH highest T-score (at 285), is even much higher than that of RGS (at 279).
One would have thought (or assumed) that since RGS is more popular than NYGH, particularly for GEP students : it would have been the other way round, instead.
c) etc. -

Don’t get you.

...
Highest T-Score is totally irrelevant since it’s the reflection of 1 person score. That person’s preference is affected by a number of individualized reasons. Maybe that person lives in Panaroma and SNGS is just a stone throw away. What if the school has a COP of 240 but highest t-score of 284? There’s no meaningful conclusion we can draw from the highest t-score column. -
having 284 COP is super impressive. in fact, those who get 250 and above is really impressive!

Hi,
Is there any facebook page for this group? -

Totally agree! Above 250 is already top 10% of the cohort. Above 240 is among the top 20%.
To me, these are already very good results. -
Anyone know when SEAB website will be uploading the 2019 PSLE timetable?

Dino:
Last year, I did a rough guess on the dates of the exam papers. Usually the exam papers will end before the Children's Day so that the P6 kids will be able to celebrate their last Children's Day in school which will be 4th Oct 2019 (Fri). So my guess is next year exam papers may be as follow:-phtthp:
SEAB 2019 tentative PSLE timetable will appear next year, 2019 Term 1
nice. Tks for sharing
Eng - 27th Sep (Fri)
Maths - 30 Sept (Mon)
Chinese - Ist Oct (Tue)
Science - 2nd Oct (Wed)
Higher MT - 3rd Oct (Thur)
PSLE Oral are usually in Aug after National Day.
LC compre are usually in Sept
School prelim Orals are usually in Jul.
School prelims papers are usually in Aug as well.
That is my guess.
