So good got trophies. My DD school top 3 for each class, best in subject for each level, all awarded with certs and popular vouchers.

Ya, I agree. I personally feel that having the trophy means more than just giving vouchers or cash, even though the monetary value may be lower.

Hi, in our top classes, we still hear of a quarter of the children going for MindStretcher SC tuition, though I've not seen their materials... Jmo, SC & MA tuitions work better when there's individual attention. You may wanna consider both 1-to-1 & group?... Before jumping into a hasty decision, however, do analyse your child's weaknesses (concept, application...)

For P6 I would recommend 1on1 tuition or maybe just a small group of 2 or 3 children. You need to focus on his weak areas which a tuition centre may not do, especially the more \"elite\" ones which will be focussing on speed and perfect marks by this stage not those who are struggling.[/quote]I agree. But it is not easy to find good tutors especially when time is tight. Please monitor the situation closely on the quality of the tuition and if it suits your child. Encourage your child to approach his/ her school teachers for help.

Do u recommend to start going through P6 topics or go through P5 topics during the holidays to close any gaps? The runway to PSLE is short.

P6 topics, you need time to internalise them & relate them to other topics already learnt, plus they form the bulk to be tested in the national exam.

Must have strong foundation for each topic before doing exam papers, so usually topical sc assessment books are needed in the beginning stage.

Both; doing new topics in P6; at the same time doing revision papers for P3 to P5 and strengthen the weaker topics.

You may wish to consider to get your private tutors to revise the entire P5 work with your kid.

By sending him to Mindstretcher for P6 Maths and Science does not mean that his results will improve cos if he didn’t do well for his P5 SA2, it means his understanding of the P5 Maths/Science topics is not clear.

After all P6 lessons will only cover topics in P6 which will still leave him blurred about his weak areas in P5 Maths/Science topics
