I recalled sometime this year when the PSLE result date was announced, it did send shivers down my spine. If I was feeling so, what more my DS. During the week leading to The Day, we brought my DS out to have some activities together and did not emphasis that the results were coming. When he brought up the topic on the result intermittently, we just told him he would be fine and we’ll journey with him together. Actually, that’s what he needed, assurance. All the best to all the 2018 PSLE parents and kids who had come a long way.

As parents we must always be supportive & show our concern & care in our everyday activities with them.

Love them lots to help them build a good sense of self-worth irregardless of grades. Meaning push them to work hard & sweat but not push grades. If they fail, help them pick up the pieces by asking what they want, to do better & improve or not. When they choose to make the effort, you’ve build yr child towards right direction already.

Once my kids finish their exams, I do not discuss questions (what they answered, how they answered) coz I do not want them anxious during exams period. But once sch return exam papers, I do analyze where they’ve gone wrong. They learn whether they were too rush & need to learn to time themselves or check their answers carefully.

Once done PSLE, I celebrate their effort & swift then off right away as I feel our kids are awesome having gone thro grueling MOE created exams system. Honor their effort.

The COP for their affiliated primary school is (IMHO) fairly reasonable - students scoring 250 would also have met the COP for RVHS and TJC IP.

The 285 score may or may not have included HCL bonus points, cos my friend's girl got into nygh (non-affliation) using 261+3.

But she went to another school via DSA, so her score was not included in the MOE SIS website. If she had gone to SAP school via PSLE posting, then her score will be reflected as 288 and not 285 (cos for SAP school the score will include HCL)

To score this high means that the girl likely score 91 for each subject? Or more? Full marks for a few? :scared:
