Buy a gift for someone special? Donate it to to charity? It’s meaningful, and teaches them something along the way… Imagine their spare change can actually make some other people really happy?

Hi, you can do a exchange to any or the hawker, especially those operating coffee shop, they (owner or you know him/her well) are the one who much willing to have coins. Of course, you need calculate and pack them into different denomination. For 5 cents, Cheers convenient shop love it...
This is how I change coins to notes without pay any levied fees for the last couple of years..

I deposit into their bank together with them over the counter:)

Only certain OCBC branches have coin counting machine.
Eg. below branches have, at

Just exchange the kiddos’ coins with your own dollar note. Then you use the coins at self check-out every time you do grocery shopping at supermarkets. Voila! No need to find coin counting machines at banks

After this sharing, all supermarkets will impose limits on how many coins we can use at self check-outs

Usually I wrap coins worth of $2. In this way, it will be easier to use. -

We used to exchange our coins with our kids (they would use them in school canteens etc)! Don't they need coins more than adults?
Now with a house-ful of adults, we just take care of our own coins. I use my coins up in hawker centres and coffee shops mainly. I use a credit card for grocery shopping, so don't use coins in the supermarket. I don't like fiddling with coins when I have so many items to pack.
