That MCM bag woman…I sent my DS to her for P6 math yet she’s giving him multiplication worksheet of 3 by 3 digits to do during lessons. If it’s first lesson, it’s ok but 3rd lesson still doing?!
I asked her why she’s not teaching him P6 math as school is going to start in a month. She said he’s very careless and need to work on his foundation. I asked DS what did he do during lesson. He said they spent 1-1.5h doing the sums and the teacher just looked on.
She asked DSL to read up his algebra chapter…omg!! What MOE teacher?! I pulled him out that day. I’m never sending my son to that centre ever again.
And I’m flustered to find out this company is not even registered. When I wanted to take the case up to CASE, they told me such company doesn’t exist.

Agree that Nakhon Kitchen is absolutely sedap! Went there once at 5+pm to queue...Food was really authentic. Exactly the same taste as what I got in BKK.

RE: Tuition / Enrichment at Secondary level

So true! I definitely believe in that too! I also believe that different tutors have their own special skills to teach the kids. Not all tutors will suit all types of kids, like my 2 DS who changed tutors like 5 times before they found the tutor that they like and can relate to. [quote=\"mummy of three\"]My eldest DC, all the classmates got tuition. If no tuition will lose out.
true.
my DD recommended our tutor to one of her classmates recently, she used to score ard 50s.
After attending classes with my DD for about 3 months, her classmate scored full marks for her CA1.
My DD told me her classmate was in a dazed for a couple of min after she took back her results. She could not believe that she actually scored full marks for her maths.
If the child is talented, with the right help they would really excel.
Totally agreed. Same scenario as my kids. They couldn't click with their previous tutors before we found this tutor. They like her the 1st time they see her...just like magic! -
RE: All About English Composition
Hi mummies,
i find that to improve on writing skills, the children have to expose to various themes instead of sticking to their comfort zone like adventure story for boys, happy ending etc.
My kids improved on their writing and creativity after joining constantly in the writing competition which has been ongoing for a year. Introduced by some mummies and would like to share.

RE: Science topics - Different school, different topics. Why?
I think when kids see their parents involve in the learning process, they will be interested too. I let them involve in helping me do everyday chore and explain to them simple science from there.
learning=fun=learning!
