I stay in Geylang, and so am about 2/3 between SNGS and Bedok. My DD already needed to get on the bus by 6:30am, so I guess it will be about 6 or 6:15am that your DD needs to get on the school bus.Anyone know if school bus goes to east side? I m staying in bedok. If yes, what time to pick up?

fyi, over here in St Nick Girls Secondary, one good thing is -Hi all,
would like to know if any of your girls were from a neighbourhood school and got into CHIJ St Nicholas, did they feel left-out or feel ostracized since most of the girls were from the St Nicholas Primary School? It will only be a small handful of girls that are not from St Nicholas Primary.
At the age of 13, it's the beginning of the peak for puberty, as such, girls are more sensitive.
would really appreciate your comments here.
Many Thanks!
for Sec 3 Higher Chinese, even if Sec 3 students scored B4 and below , they can still proceed to take Higher Chinese immediately, in the next following year (Sec 4, whether is O-level or IP), so as to clear the hurdle Higher Chinese, quickly. Unlike some other very strict SAP Secondary schools, who bar / prevent Sec 4 students from taking Higher Chinese, if students do not score minimum at least a B3 (Higher Chinese), in Sec 3. Yes, there are some other SAP schools, that discriminate this way. Luckily, over here in St Nick, we do Not discriminate. -

Does SNGS require their students to take O level (Express) Chinese at the end of Sec 3? I know some SAP schools require their students to take O level (Express) Chinese in Sec 3, and then O level Higher Chinese in Sec 4. I also know of another SAP school that requires their girls to take O level (Express) in Sec 3 if they didn't do well in Sec 2, but skip and do only O level Higher Chinese in Sec 4 if they did well in Sec 2.

Based on FAQ answer from school's website below, to question # 10 (that answer your question posed) :-
https://chijstnicholasgirls.moe.edu.sg/secondary/dsa-sec-2018/faqs-for-admission-to-o-level-programme
Pupils with the Talent of Leadership potential, can seek admission into both Integrated Program course and the O-level course. -

Interesting. For what it's worth, my wife joined SNGS in secondary school and did well enough to enter JC, despite havong come from another primary school. I think kids will adapt to the new environment, find new friends, etc. That was a while back (almost 40 years ago!) but things should be the about the same these days. There will always be a difference between old girls and new ones, but you can be assured that these are minor.Hi all,

I don't know about other schools, but my son did Higher Chinese in Victoria and got a D6. He was ecstatic that he didn't have to do Chinese again in JC. So there are advantages to taking Higher Chinese in Secondary schoolfyi, over here in St Nick Girls Secondary, one good thing is -
