It is a good suggestion and I will keep in mind that come year 4 onwards, if need be, I will consider sending my girl there. I used to stay in Uni hostel, not so much worried about lack of concentration issues but rather, I do not want to waste time on the traveling.
@abachee, yes, we heard about the food poisoning case. As long as we consume outside food, it is not within our control. In fact, after reading your post, I was very careful while preparing the X’mas meal this evening for my guests, especially while making smoked salmon salad, lol.

The first three days of activities schedule has been provided to the kids in the blue file on the reporting day. I don’t think there will be time for active teaching of syllabus. Just bring pencil case, calculator and maybe foolscap will do. And in Sec sch, I think the teachers treat the girls as adults and won’t be too concerned if they didn’t bring textbook etc.Koyeong:

Dd still using PSLE calculator and so far no problem. She is Sec3 next year.
