Confirmed Term/Continual Assessment that I know of so far:
• River Valley Primary School - 28 Feb - 6 Mar
CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School - 25 Feb - 1 Mar
      Anglo-Chinese School (Junior) - 25 Feb - 6 Mar
Xinmin Primary School - 6 Mar
    •
If your child/student aren't from the above mentioned schools but will be taking CA1, do drop me a PM or message http://chenlaoshi.wixsite.com/psleprepclass/contact in view of exchanging CL and/or HCL papers - strictly for practice purposes only (and not for monetary gains) in time for practice during the March sch holidays. 🙂

Closer towards April 2019 (Term 2), dates of many Secondary schools Open House will be out. Usually, Open House are conducted from mid-May to end-May, after P6 SA1 (mid-year exam) is over.

            Thanks sembgal!

Can any kind soul out there tell us (in a nutshell) what’s the difference between SST and NUS High? From the name alone, it seems both are catering to kids who excel mainly in Science/Math?

NUS High - 6 year programme leading to NUSH diploma. No O lvls no A lvls.

SST - 4 year programne leading to Os or articulates to Poly.

              That’s my limited understanding…

                Dear All

May i ask for foundation stream students, their grade are different.

                Instead of A, B,C grading. Their Grading is G1, G2< G3 etc,

How to compute for PSLE result?
Are they eligible for Secondary School?

Personally I know of a student who takes Foundation subjects for P6 Maths and Science, and takes the normal core English and Chinese subjects. He ends up in Normal Technical stream, one of the best autonomous schools in SG. He was offered to do Sec 1 English and Chinese Normal Academic stream (means he can take N level for Eng and Chinese) and he attends Maths and Science in Normal Technical stream. If he works very hard, he is likely to end up in Sec 2 Normal Academic. He can do his N level, followed by O levels.

He had tuition for English, Math and Chinese with separate tutors. Maths Tutor was always on the phone and he did badly for Maths due to the fact that the Tutor left him to solve the problems on his own during tuition. English and Chinese tutors guided him every step and he showed most improvements in these 2 subjects. He did not have Science tuition due to Parents’ Budget.

From this case study, tuition has helped this boy to a certain extent as he was failing all his subjects since P5 CA1. He managed to pass English and Chinese with B grade.
