The best is to state both mean and median UAS clearly out-front, dont make parents guess is it mean UAS or is it median UAS.

IMO, I guess not many Ps wish to be so transparent.

Anybody has studied whether the COP ranking corresponds to the schools’ A level performance?

Among all the JC, I realised that RI provides the most comprehensive stats by getting down to the exact percentages ... so parents don't need to double-guess whether more than 4 out of 10 is 41% or 49%, about 5 out of 10 is 45% or 49%, 6 out of 10 is 55% or 69% etc. The sch has always been very transparent in its sharing.

Actually the 2 main stats are the mean and median UAS. All sch should at least share one, if not both of them. The rest of the stats are more or less peripheral.
            As I said earlier...

It's easy to be transparent when you are heads and shoulders above everyone else.
For the rest... always highlight the good points, muddle the good-but-not-so points, ignore the weak points.

              mommyNg:

I think likely the interpretation is from the NYJC P's youtube sharing. He said, \"For Maths and Sciences, more than seven out of ten of you scored distinctions\" (about 45s into the clip). But that sentence is so ambiguous. More than 7 out of 10 of the students scored distinctions for math and sciences, does it mean >70% of students scored at least 1 distinction in Math/Chem/Phy/Bio? H1 or H2? This is very different from saying that 70% of the students scored distinctions in each of the four H2 subjects....
              That's my interpretation as well.
              Instead of:
              H2 Maths: >70%
              H2 Chemistry: >70%
              H2 Physics: >70%
              H2 Biology: >70%

              I believe it's more likely:
More than 70% has an A in either one or more of Maths / Chem / Phy / Bio

I want to applaud RI/RIJC for, once again, encouraging rafflesians to realise their academic potential to the maximum allowed by MOE, ie 13 units.

6 pupils scored the maximum 9As.

Do you know this year in total how many students achieved 9 As?

Anyone knows HCI's Mean RP? How about HCI's individual subjects' performance? The entire row is empty except for the '6 in 10' distinctions for 3H2s.

Mommyng, you've done us a favour by compiling the above. Thanks!
