I donโt know leh. I am not EJC parent. So far I see my colleagues very happy or maybe I should say, presently surprised.
Congratulations to your colleague's daughterSportscar88\" post_id=\"1899610\" time=\"1551020545\" user_id=\"175414:

I saw in another link about A level results 2019... a few listed JCs 84 to 85....but I not sure leh cos I saw Ejc is 82.4.....pls pardon me
I only know HCI hit 85 this year. Many other JCs got less. Many are 80 and below. Where you get the information that most JCs got 85?Lifeishard\" post_id=\"1899605\" time=\"1551015497\" user_id=\"39228:

Ermm I did not see any that was below 80 maybe not listed or what... -
There are many EJC students who did well! Great performance for the new kid on the block. With a mean of 82.4 RP, it just means that there are also students in EJC who did not do as well (which is perfectly normal). One of my colleague's son from EJC got 76.25 RP.
I think one of the KSP posted this link:

Does your list includes Tampines, Jurong, Pioneer, Yishun, Serangoon JC etc? Is it why you dont see the below 80s? -

A few listed JCs with mean UAS 84-85?
If you exclude the two big giants RI/HCI, I only see DHS on the list with mean UAS 84. And I wonโt be surprised if it is 83.9 or 83.8 correct to 2 significant figures.
NJCโs reported median UAS of 84.4, not mean. Historically, the median UAS is usually 1-3 points higher than the mean. If NJC mean UAS is 2 points lower, it will be 82.4, same as EJC!

DHS already reported 44.8% 3 H2 distinctions as โalmost 50%โ
Itโs all how the school wanna present the data to look โnicerโ.
Eg. 3 in 10 can also be reported as about 1 in 2 :boogie: -

Possible that DHS mean UAS may not necessary be exactly 84 as claimed. Similarly for HCI when someone said the mean UAS = 85, it could also be anything from 84.1-84.9. If HCI mean = 84.1, and NJC mean =84.3, then NJC mean UAS is even higher than HCI

! Perhaps historically for RI(JC), its median > mean, but we cannot say for sure this is the same for all other schools unless we know their \"history\" of A level means and medians to make that claim.
In sum, without full information, we can twist, say and interpret however we want, so fun
!
