Is your child still getting a lot of school work? We hardly have time to do our own revision.. but my kid says doing school work is also revision mah

there are public holidays, June holidays and weekends to revise.
when kids were in primary school, I get them to work on lower block science topics during public holidays and math. homework should be completed on Friday nights so that weekends can be spent revising.

actually my dc's school does not give a lot of hw except for math. compared to other schools, her school is pretty laid back. it's more of the supplementary classes and cca that eats into her revision time.

hi, does anyone have any good model composition book to recommend ? where the writing is good and not just anotber assessment book? our SA 1 compo coming ! my child’s compo standard is up and down , probably due to lack of practice at home and in school too.

All the best, to all P6 students, in the midst of SA1.

For some primary schools :
Oral already started & is over.
But, next week starting (zuowen, composition). Then in the following week (after next week), start the main written papers.

stress is there, for students intending to use their SA1 results, applying DSA, need to do well, since going to use your p6 sa1 results to show principal of targeted secondary schools.

But if no (zero) intention to DSA at all, won't feel stressed.

A brief list of topics can found in the link in my previous post. I haven't done so but will try to release them during/after the week of my June holiday workshops.

In summary, 4 of the topics that has came out in 2019 SA1 are:
- 懂得为别人着想（图书馆）
- 帮忙做家务
- 户外学习
- 注意安全（组屋区）[/quote]Interestingly, one of the schools' SA1 oral this year tested the students using 2018's PSLE video - 友谊（互相帮忙、学）. This + another school testing on 懂得为别人着想（图书馆）+ past year oral videos not available in the 3 years series: won't be surprised if the videos get recycled in the future for Pri 5/6 school exams.

3 SA1 CL picture compo topics so far:

- Boy saw a bag on MRT station platform, thought there might be a bomb in it
- Boy (while on his way to have his meal) helped old man who fell down
- Mother brought son to playground after having meal at fast food restaurant, while Mother was engrossed with her hand phone, stranger approached boy with toy car, boy disappeared from playground
