ok sure! thanks so much! We will try our best for SA1! think my child just sees compo as another homework task to complete, rather than with some zest

All the best, to all P6 students, in the midst of SA1.

            For some primary schools :
Oral already started & is over.
But, next week starting (zuowen, composition). Then in the following week (after next week), start the main written papers.

stress is there, for students intending to use their SA1 results, applying DSA, need to do well, since going to use your p6 sa1 results to show principal of targeted secondary schools.

But if no (zero) intention to DSA at all, won't feel stressed.

tomorrow, Wednesday (Labour day rest, 1 May) : no school (public holiday)

Sharing yet another topic that has been tested in this year's SA1 oral exam: 户外学习体验 Outdoor learning

So far the topics were anticipated, as previously shared in this post: https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=81235&hilit=chenlaoshi&start=2400#p1901348

Do practice with your child and get them to articulate their views. 🙂

              Hi chenlaoshi,

Do you have the list of anticipated topics on your website? Do you sell online resources?

              Hi sweetbaby,

A brief list of topics can found in the link in my previous post. I haven't done so but will try to release them during/after the week of my June holiday workshops. 🙂

In summary, 4 of the topics that has came out in 2019 SA1 are:
              - 懂得为别人着想(图书馆)
              - 帮忙做家务
              - 户外学习
              - 注意安全(组屋区)[/quote]Interestingly, one of the schools' SA1 oral this year tested the students using 2018's PSLE video - 友谊(互相帮忙、学). This + another school testing on 懂得为别人着想(图书馆)+ past year oral videos not available in the 3 years series: won't be surprised if the videos get recycled in the future for Pri 5/6 school exams.

I read from somewhere - to avoid writing topic on kidnap, terrorism, murder etc ... it is too much for a kid to handle .., story development, ending etc ?

                      Hi follow parents,

MOE has released the Sec 1 posting results tentative dates. This year's dates - 20, 23, 24 Dec 19 seem to be different from past year's trends. 😞 I've just booked the air tickets for the holidays & it seems I may have to make changes. 😞 Though MOE mentioned the dates are tentative, does anyone know in the past years if there's any changes made to the tentative posting results dates or did it just fall on any of the mentioned dates?
