        My another half and I loves the international buffet at Straits Cafe at Rendezvous Hotel. Slightly more pricey than $30 nett, but worth every cents. :love:

        Eh, no offence, but we were rather disappointed by the limited choice at a recent lunch. No durian pengat, salmon sashimi was miserably kept in a glass shelf accessible by the chef only. The ice cream was the potong type. For this price, there are other better places to go to.

            What’s your standard of being Cheap?

            What’s your budget and what sort of food/cuisine?

                Traders Hotel has a tie-in with Citibank, 3rd adult gets to dine at $10++, same applies to kids. Think the usual price is $45 per adult and $23 per child.

                  Check out the various credit card 1-1 offers at various hotels periodically. Currently, here are some very good deals by DBS / UOB:

                  1) Ritz Carlton - Green House Wed Ladies Nite DBS 1-1 around 58++

                  2) Meritus Mandarin Hotel - Triple 3 DBS 1-1 Wkday Lunch $48++

                  3) Traders' Hotel - Cafebiz UOB 1-1 Mon-Wed Dinner $45++

                  Highly recommend the 1st 2, gd value for $! Have not tried the Traders but the online reviews seem good.

                  Bon Appetit! 😄

                      Hi kitty2,
                      I've been to the one at Clementi Woods. I find it so-so and not really worth the price.

                        Ooh....i simply love Traders' Cafebiz international buffet 😄
                        Been there several times, but at that time there wasn’t a 1 for 1 promotion
                        Only entitled to a certain discount % for UOB cardholders
                        Think it was priced at $50 or so

                        Wonder will the food spread and quality be equally good for the 1-for-1 promotion.....

                        There was a good spread of chilled seafood ( for weekend buffet, there’ll be more emphasis on seafood but cost more) .
                        includes lobster, big N fresh oyster and scallops
                        I personally preferred the BBQ big prawns
                        And dun forget to try their BBQ chicken wings, something diff in taste.

                        The dessert section is a must must for me for any buffet,
                        quite a variety of cakes, mousse and puddings.
                        Their durian pengat is superb……. … almost gone the moment when they laid on the table.... 😉
                        (though some may feel that Ellenborough market café’s durian pengat still the best)
