Only 200 students offered SST Dsa, out of approximately 1200 applicants -
After the written test, it will down select to about 500++ students for selection camp, where students are group into groups of 5 to 6 students to perform a task with available material. The end result of the task is not important, the main objective is for the teachers, 2 or 3 per group to observe and assess the students interaction.
SST focus a lot on critical thinking, creativity, confidence, teamwork and communications as there are many projects from Sec 1 to 3.
Once you have passed the written test and get call up for selection camp the chances is high from the 500++ students, 200 will be offered a CO.
means around Top 16 percent, who have sat (taken) for the 2 Round of Tests, will get it -
There’s really no point digging for past year ques. Last two year a friend’s daughter sat for GAT test and required to pay $100.
Last year my boy went for the test and I think calculator was allowed. He said the papers consist of P6 math and general science questions (knowledge).
I didn’t bother to find out what kind of test they be conducting as I prefer him to go for other school. But since he really like SST after attending their open house, I let him proceed with DSA.
I did overheard two parents telling their child, “you must pass the test! This is a good school! You better do well!” I was shocked. I always tell my boy its okay if you do not make it to the next round until he sian already 😂
Every child is different. My boy found the papers easy (his SA1 math was tougher according to him) and manage to complete all question. His strongest subject are math and science.
Day camp: one group - 4student. They were given some material to complete a task. I think he did okay for group discussion, he did input his idea A and B (lucky for him, he had come across this task solving before so he was abit active during the discussion. Too active/ talkative until he made some new friends).
Group discussion, complete the task, presentation, interview, wait for result either Confirmation offer, Rejected or Waiting list.
Now my boy is in sec 1 and loving the school so much. I was relieved I didn’t make him reject his confirmation offer. Its best to let our child choose their own school. -
With the completion of the written test, hope all the kids have done well. Enjoy the remaining days in this holiday before school reopens.
All the best for your PSLE preparation while waiting for the results for the written test -
Hi all, I know some may have asked in this thread before previously, but I’m lazy to go read through everything. Hence, can I ask when is the results out? And do they notify you even if your child is not selected? Is their notifying via email as well? Thanks, and all the best to our kids.

Hi any child attempted the question on the cat, bear, lion and platypus? Any idea what’s the answer base on the graph?
