Yes it has always been like this. There’s always that lag time in the P1-IS database.

Why not just register for Hong Wen in Phase 2A and monitor the demand for Nan Chiau in Phase 2C to see if it is worth betting for?
Is it in time to withdraw on 2nd day? Or even 3rd day?
I would go for Hong Wen since low chance of securing a spot in Nan Chiau.Sfmq\" post_id=\"1912591\" time=\"1559119044\" user_id=\"141681:
Hi all..am staying in Punggol. Only within 1-2km from nan chiau( preferred sch). Wife’s primary school alumni is Hong Wen school. Not sure if should try balloting for nan chiau under the 1-2km category(which I think will be very over subscribed) or just go for Hong Wen.
Any inputs will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!! -

There are those gungho fellas that withdrawl and register in the last hour! I don't have the stomach for it. The morning of the last day would be a good time to execute your contingency plan.

You better check whether (a) the MOE person who told you need one day is ignorant; or (b) this year 2019 suddenly need so long 1 day to withdraw. I doubt MOE’s intranet system has gone retro and back into the 80s kind of dialup internet connection so slow... -

The withdrawal must be done at the school by filling up withdrawal form & showing both original ICs.
The difficult part is rushing over to the other school with the original ICs before the final cut off time. Happy running…we were literally breathless & adrenaline spike… -
Hello,
We live in Sengkang, just near Sengkang MRT. Seeking admission for our first son. We must go for phase 2C as PR.
May I seek guidance from the experts on the forum:
1. What are the good schools nearby where we may stand fair chance to getting placed?
2. Since we stay on rent, and are ready to relocate, should we apply to a good school even if those are not nearby (which ones?) Or if we do so, we mostly stand rejected?
Thanks for your guidance! -

The withdrawal part is easy, its the time taken to School B when you guys decide to withdraw that is the challenge as there are too many variables to consider.

1. Queueing to withdraw from School A (if many parents want to withdraw),
2. Traffic on the day (pray hard no traffic jams)
3. Carpark at School B (any available lots)
4. Location of School B registration (know where to head to to register)
Glad your effort to take the gamble paid off for you Zac's Mum.
